Patient Testimonials
Jake F, 11, was born with a severe case of Cerebral Palsy. His condition disrupts his motor skills and speech. Jake has been through approximately 25 separate therapies to improve his coordination and movement accuracy.
“Since beginning therapy with Dr. Marcus, we have seen a great amount of improvement. Jake’s stepping pattern has significantly improved and has become more regular. His arms and hand movements have become more accurate. His speech has improved, he has increased strength in his muscles, and his respiration has also improved from regular exercise.
“The Giger and the Locomat are machines that are completely new to me. We have tried several other rehabilitation centers in the past, and not one of them has used these machines. I love the augmented feedback technology; I believe it helps motivate my son to push himself further.”
-Jennifer Froman, Mother
In 2007, Mrs. Lieberman suffered from a severe stroke, which was followed by a series of severe health issues. After two traumatic seizures, she underwent surgery to remove the right side of her skull in an attempt to end the bleeding in her brain. The invasive surgery resulted in Mrs. Lieberman slipping into a coma for a lengthy six month period.
After she was released from the hospital she was enrolled in a local rehabilitation center by her son, Sam, in an attempt to end her health challenges and begin her path to recovery. She had nearly two years of treatments with two traditional hospital rehabilitation centers. Very little progress was made and the sessions usually left her in pain.
“Dr. Marcus has provided my family with hope, when we thought that there was no hope left. My mom’s progress has been incredible. There is no comparison to what can be achieved with modern equipment and a great staff – Medical Rehabilitation & Kinematics Lab is in a league of its own when it comes to rehabilitation innovation.
“Dr. Marcus and his team’s therapy programs are personalized specifically for my mom’s unique condition. My mom was always very active and loved exercising. After years of ineffective rehabilitation, we finally feel she is moving in the right direction.”
-Sam Lieberman, Son
